The ''Council Secretary'' records minutes of the council meetings, the council votes and their results, and such other documentation as the council may direct, and reports them to the <tt>spf-council</tt> and <tt>spf-discuss</tt> mailing lists.

The ''Council Secretary'' also summarizes and reports the council's other activities to the <tt>spf-discuss</tt> mailing list, in a way such that competitive information, as judged by the council, is not disclosed to actual or potential competitors of the SPF project.

The ''Council Secretary'' records minutes of the council meetings, the council votes and their results, and such other documentation as the council may direct, and reports them to the <tt>spf-council</tt> and <tt>spf-discuss</tt> mailing lists.
