Above all don't panic. If you ended up on this page the reason could be:
- You tried to edit, but you have no account.
- You tried to login, but your password is wrong.
- You used http://www.openspf.org/auth, but your browser doesn't support Auth: Digest, compare RFC 2617.
- You only wanted to read a page, but it was an URI with auth/.
For the third problem simply switch to https://www.openspf.org/auth and try again to login, this should work with any browser supporting SSL3 or rather TLS and Auth: Basic.
For the last problem (read access) simply remove auth/ from the URI.
For the second problem you might need a new password if you really forgot it. The Web server doesn't store your password, it's not possible to reconstruct passwords from the stored hashes.
If you don't have an account, ask on the webmasters list how to get write access. There aren't enough SPF Community members to man a Recent Change Patrol and then allow write access for everybody, but active contributors to the SPF project are of course welcome to help with the Web site.
Certain pages are private even for reading. You need to provide valid credentials in order to modify pages, view private pages, or perform administrative functions.
Note: There is a Community section of the website where anybody can create and modify pages freely!
Contact the webmasters if you think you should have privileged access or if you have forgotten your credentials.
